PLACING AN ORDER.

You can choose from our signature range and selection of products to make your perfect gift. You can also ‘Edit Your Own Gift’ by following the instructions on our website.
At checkout, the sender is the ‘Billing Address’ and the recipient of the gift is the ‘Delivery Address’.
When completing the writing for the complimentary gift card, please make sure to put your name on the card so that the recipient knows who it isfrom. Please also keep cards to a small note, as long cards may not fit on the card provided.
 

PERSONALISED BOXES.

We offer personalisation of boxes for an extra $15. Personalisation is done by hand, and therefore may incur some minor imperfections. If timing permits, we will send a proof to the customer prior to making the box, however this is not always by possible and in this case it is up to the discretion of The Local Edit when it comes to the design of the personalised gift box.
We pride ourselves on providing the best quality and the best experience for both the customer and the recipient.
 

CUSTOM ORDERS.

Our signature range is designed to showcase our range of amazing produce and products. We  also offer a curated selection of products which we encourage you to choose from to really customise your gift and make it your own.
Edit Your Own Gift is subject to a minimum spend of $80.
However if you have something else in mind, please do not hesitate to contact us either by the Contact Us section on the website or at hello@localedit.com.au so we can help you create the perfect gift!

DELIVERY INFORMATION.

All the very best of care is taken when packing your gifts and all items are checked prior to leaving The Local Edit.
All orders will be made and dispatched within 1-2 business days upon confirmation of payment (note, sometimes companies such as PayPal hold payments for various reasons and this is beyond our control).
If there are any special delivery instructions, please also leave these in the notes section at checkout. Please also give as much detail as possible regarding the delivery (i.e., house at the back of the block, hidden driveway etc).
If delivery is to a hospital please contact the hospital prior to placing your order to ensure accurate delivery information.
We offer free local delivery of a 15km radius from the Geelong CBD, and $10 flat rate for the rest of Geelong. All packages outside of Geelong will be delivered via our delivery partners Australia Post, Couriers Please or Fastway. Delivery outside of Geelong is calculated at checkout. If the gift is delivered to a concierge or front desk, we cannot be held responsible for the gift getting to the recipient from this point.
We use couriers to deliver any gifts outside of Geelong and whilst every care is taken to ensure accurate and safe delivery, we cannot guarantee that items will not be damaged as a result of unforeseen circumstances, or those circumstances out of our control.
A signature will not be required upon delivery and in most cases there will be an authority to leave the package.

 

LOCAL DELIVERIES.

Deliveries are made on a Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). If you require a local delivery on a Saturday, this will incur a small fee of $15 (please choose this option at checkout) and free local delivery will not apply.
We do not deliver on Sundays unless exceptional circumstances apply.


PREFERRED DELIVERY DATE.

If your order is being delivered within the 30km radius of Geelong CBD, you are welcome to contact us to confirm a preferred delivery date. This date also required in the notes section at checkout.
Every effort will be made to ensure your order will be delivered on your preferred delivery date, however it can not be 100% guaranteed. We will endeavour to facilitate this to the best of our abilities, as we believe this is a service that sets us apart from the rest. 
We do not include invoices with our deliveries, however the sender will be sent an invoice after checkout.

UNDELIVERABLE ITEMS.

A gift is considered undeliverable if the recipient’s  address is incomplete, incorrect or cannot be located, or if there is no one home to receive the gift and there is nowhere safe to leave the gift, or if the delivery if refused by the recipient before  before opening the gift.
All undeliverable gifts will be redirected where the customer will be liable for all charges and fees incurred in returning, storing, or disposing of an undeliverable gift.
We are currently unable to deliver internationally.
 

LOCAL PICK UP.

If you would prefer to collect your item, please email hello@localedit.com.au and also advise in the notes section at checkout. Pick up can be arranged from Newcomb, Geelong.

 

AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCT.

At The Local Edit, we pride ourselves on sourcing the best of the best from small businesses around Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast. Because of this, sometimes product is sold out or hard to get in specific time frames. If this is the case, the product within the gift will be substituted for another product of equal or higher value at no extra cost to the customer. Where possible, we will contact the customer to discuss replacement products, however this may not always be the case and the replacement product will be up to the discretion of The Local Edit.
 

CHRISTMAS TRADING.

As Christmas is our busiest time of year, please expect some delays in delivery of orders over this time. Please contact hello@localedit.com.au if you have any questions relating to Christmas deliveries.

 

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS.

We are unable to refund if in correct delivery information is given to us. It is the sender’s responsibility to make sure they provide us with detailed and accurate delivery instructions.
Cancellations can be made by emailing hello@localedit.com.au, keeping in mind we aim to prepare and deliver the order within 1-2 business days.
Please let us know if for any reason you are dissatisfied or unhappy with your order.

 

CORPORATE.

Corporate order enquiries are welcome. In most cases, you will be provided with a proposal  of different options and coatings, which takes into considerations all your business needs. A deposit of 50% is required for all corporate orders prior to the ordering of goods. Delivery of corporate orders can take anywhere between 3-6 weeks, in some cases this may be longer.
